We have received the fantastic news that all our efforts in being more environmentally friendly at Croft community School have been officially recognised and we received our certification and are now an Eco- school.

7O have been learning about the charity event Jeans for Genes, and have started making keyrings from old jeans to raise money for charities supporting people with a genetic condition.
Year 10 art students used online software ‘Photopea’ to create reflection patterns as a response to the famous artist and pattern designer William Morris. Each pattern is based on a natural image, see if you can spot the animal, bird or plant. They are absolutely amazing!
7V have been learning about different types of sculpture including abstract, figurative, relief, kinetic and today land art. They learned about the artist Andy Goldsworthy and created their own circular responses using found materials in our outdoor area. All classes in school were set the challenge of creating a Union Jack from recyclable materials. Each class created unique flags using a variety of materials and techniques; weaving, collage, image transfer, and painting. Amazing creativity from all year groups.
Mr Harrison organised a red nose/egg and spoon race for the whole school on our Comic Relief Day, racing through obstacles in mixed teams. The winning team celebrated the next week with a winners breakfast courtesy of Mr Davis.
