Dear Parents and Carers
I am writing to inform you about the arrangements for Christmas activities this year as well as some other updates.
We are inviting pupils to wear odd-socks on Monday 14th November to celebrate the launch of anti-bullying week. No monies are necessary and we will be taking photographs of these socks and uploading them onto the school website.
We will also be having a non-uniform day on Friday 18th November with monies raised being donated to Children in Need. We are asking if pupils can wear red or yellow but please don’t feel the need to buy anything new if your child does not have anything in this colour. We are, I’m afraid, insisting that pupils DO NOT come into school in pyjamas or other nightwear.
School will be closed on Friday 2nd December for a training day.
Other arrangements for Christmas are as follows:-
Monday 12h December – Christmas activities that are organised by the PTA, pupils will be taking part in present making, a visit to Santa and general Christmas activities. This will be for the Primary pupils.
Tuesday 13th December – Christmas activities that are organised by the PTA, pupils will be taking part in present making, a visit to Santa and general Christmas activities. This will be for the Secondary pupils.
Wednesday 14th December- Primary Nativity Play, Primary will be creating a play this year and we are inviting all Primary pupils parents and carers into school to come and join in the fun and watch the performance.
Thursday 15th December – Rewards Day
Friday 16th December – Christmas Dinner and Christmas Jumper Day. All pupils will be having Christmas lunch on this day, if your child is on packed lunch can you please let the office know so that we can plan for the numbers needed. This will cost £2:25. In terms of Christmas jumpers we are asking for donations which we will send to Norah’s North Pole https://norahsnorthpole.co.uk/norahs-story to support young people who need that little bit of extra help at Christmas time. We will also be holding a bake sale but further details of this will follow.
We will also be holding a secondary disco on the 19th December in the afternoon and a primary disco on the 20th December. For both Christmas discos pupils can come into school in non-uniform or clothes to change into.
As ever, if you require any more information or have any queries please get in touch with school via the usual channels.
