This week in P12 we have been using the power of our minds! We have been visualizing a scene in our minds and using that to relax, meditate and prepare for the school day.

P12 students have been discussing anti-bullying week. Pupils have been designing their perfect school which is a positive, happy and safe place for all students. They have been looking at school rules, social times, support for pupil well being and uniform.
P4 have been learning how to multiply numbers and also the relationship between addition and multiplication.
They used lots of practical activities and concrete apparatus to visually see what was happening during the calculations.
P4 had a brilliant first swimming lesson of the year.
All children showed good confidence in the water and some who were wearing armbands at the beginning of the lesson weren’t wearing them by the end of the lesson.
Super progress was made! Well done P4!
P4 have been studying Cuba as part of their international links.
The children have been learning how to salsa. They have developed their skills and confidence and enjoyed performing in front of an audience.
They worked on their evaluation skills by providing good suggestions how dances could be improved.
P4 are budding scientists and they like nothing better than seeing science in action!
They have been learning all about the digestive system and how the food we eat makes its journey through our body.
They carried out their own investigation to see how the digestive system works, then labelled diagrams. Lots of questions were asked during the lesson. Much fun was had by all and great learning!
In English P4 are enjoying reading The Demon Dentist by David Williams.
The children enjoyed taking part in Drama where they took on the role of one of the main characters, Alfie.
There was good discussion as to whether Alfie should go to the dentist and face the Demon Dentist.
A conscience alley was set up, where ‘Alfie’ was given advice on what he should do.
The children took on roles with enthusiasm and gave great advice…but will Alfie take it?
