Today we had a afternoon tea as part of our celebrations for the Queen’s Jubilee. We enjoyed our cupcakes that we decorated with red, white and blue with a miniature Union Jack! We have all dressed up in the colours of the flag as well as having crafts, a quiz and danced to a swing band! Such a fantastic day!
Today in Birch everyone has thoroughly enjoyed participating in the Queen’s Royal Jubilee. We took part in activities from designing cakes, a quiz, a colouring competition, to making a Union Jack flag from recycled clothes and donating the rest of the clothes to Connect the clothing bank to compete in the competition to win funds for our school. We also took part in an online tutorial from the illustrator Steve Antony who wrote the book ” The Queen’s Hat”. Throughout the day lots and lots of party food was devoured and we finished off the day with a good old fashioned dance with a swing band.
