Students from across primary have been designing, making and painting pinch pot monsters during Friday’s enrichment sessions with Miss Ennis.
8H have been learning about French vocabulary related to clothes this half term and last week we went outside to learn the names of types of clothes and the colours of these clothes. Pupils drew round each other and then had to draw and colour the clothes from the list they were given. Pupils then had to record the list of clothes in their books and next week we will be learning some adjectives to describe clothes. Well done 8H!
The PTA have set up this school lottery which has already raised over £300 for the school funds so please join in for a chance to win £25 a week and the grand prize of £25000

As part of the Primary transition we will be having a local author(Jo Cook) come into school who is going to be doing some reading sessions with our younger children. I promised that I would post a link to her latest book which is a cracking read.
We are also trying to organise Primary and Secondary Sports Days for next week – Primary 23rd and Secondary 22nd June, this all depends upon whether we can get the grass cut in time. If we can achieve this we will send another text and if it goes ahead could Primary parents send in PE kit and for Secondary parents can you ask your child to come into school in the PE kits.
We are also looking at holding a rewards Fayre for all pupils on the 13th or 14th July.
End of term reports will be sent out in the post shortly.
Hazel class were super excited this morning to see if their bean plants had grown any more over the weekend.
We have lovely green leaves and some buds starting to blossom.
Hazel pupils are amazed at how tall their plants now are.
We will update you when we have some beans!
This week, we were lucky enough to have Nicola Minichiello (an Olympic Bobsleigh athlete) come into school and work alongside a group of Mentors who are working with Miss Herkes to use sport as a way of increasing physical activity, promoting positive mental health and well-being and running sessions for a group of mentees. They were absolutely amazing and a credit to our school. Watch this space for updates on our 6 week programme with the mentees and a celebration event at the end!
