In Maths, P4 learnt all about Roman numerals. We went outside and used sticks to make Roman numerals, making larger numbers made us really think and use our learnt skills.
One week into our election of head students we were asked to provide a idea of what the year 11 students wanted in a special area for them. Within a weeks time we were provided with the suitable request we had asked for. The new area is now in use with the foldable pool set and air hockey table.
Due to the fact I am out of school some mornings, Orhan and I have come to an agreement.
Orhan will deal with the participation of sports club in the morning, while I manage this blog.
Sports Club was made because of the crowded area in the computer club. As a result of this we have decided to request the participation of pupils in sporting activity during lunch break, the sport changes everyday and Orhan will visit the classes from a different starting point everyday to ensure everyone has the opportunity to participate.
A big thank you to everyone who came to ‘tea and talk’ today. I really mean it when I say that it is so valuable to have your support and input into how we can support the mental health of our young people and put wellbeing at the heart of what we do. It was then lovely to invite the students in to do some mindful colouring with us!
Over the coming week all secondary students (and some Primary classes) will be receiving their own school email account. Students will be learning about the responsible use of email to communicate online. Staff may be using email to send work home where appropriate.
Students have been excited to receive their email accounts so please encourage your child to use their email in a responsible manner.
To all parents, carers, family, friends… Mr Davis and I are hosting a ‘tea and talk’ afternoon at 1:30pm,Tuesday 8th October at school. This is a chance to hear what we are doing in school to support mental health and well-being for students, staff and the community. It is also a chance to do some mindful colouring with your child at the end of the afternoon. Come along for a cuppa and a chat!!
Hello we are the Head Students at Croft Community School.
Our names are Logan and Orhan.
We were selected by our peers to represent them, our school, and create and make this blog.
We will be updating this blog regularly with events happening in school and any other news we need to share.
In P1 we have been finding out how to look after our bodies. We have used the mirror to look at our teeth. We then followed the instructions to brush some very big teeth!
We practiced being Doctors, nurses and receptionists and found out how to take care of our patients if they were not well or were hurt. We made sure we washed our hands first so that there were no germs.
