This week is National Careers Week. In secondary school, as well as attending a virtual careers fair, we will be looking at the stresses and strains placed upon students. We will be investigating strategies that can help with reducing pressure and supporting our mental health. Click on the link to view the NCW film about HOPE.
Well done to all the children and adults for the hard work they put into making their classroom doors look so amazing for World Book Day!!!
Beech won, with The Barnabus Project, but what a hard choice it must have been, because they are ALL brilliant.
I hope you enjoy seeing some of the fantastic experiences that our pupils have had at school today during World Book Day. As well as Primary pupils engaging in lots of fun activities, pupils in Secondary have been completing some work all about literacy and World Book Day as part of their RRS pastoral sessions this week. Please have a look at some of the brilliant work that has been taking place across the school today.
We have had so much fun today in Maple class for World Book Day.
We loved everyone’s costumes.
Here are some photos of what we have got up to during the day.
We have spent the day looking at lots of different books, shared stories with our friends friends.
We even had Willy Wonker and an Oompa Lumpa!
We had a competition in school to decorate our door. We chose the story ‘What the Lady Bird Heard’ as we have been reading this book and enjoying it in class for our topic this term.
Everyone helped creating the animals and it was so fun. It looked great! We can’t wait to see who the winner is,
During World Book Week the pupils in 9R have worked extremely hard completing a range of fun and relaxing activities. They have designed their own personal book marks based on their favorite characters and even discussed characters to make up a story of their own. Mrs. Devlin brought in her favorite book and friendly Tiger and made a relaxing story area in the classroom and read the Tiger came to tea. Miss Lovely baked some of her delicious cakes to celebrate all of our hard work. Throughout the week Mrs Leonard and Mrs. Martin have been sharing reading books and discussing the message the book was given and how it would impact their social and emotional well being.
Megan loved dressing and playing with the tiger.
