Maple Christmas Tree
Maple class were lucky enough to be gifted a beautiful, real Christmas tree from Fusion for Business in Consett. We had lots of fun decorating the tree with very little help from the adults!

9D won themselves a lovely chocolate treat for completing the most Climate Champion Challenges this term. They have made recycled cotton bags and dog toys from old clothes, which will be donated to the RSPCA. They have also learnt about seasonal food and made chips, and also made a conscious effort to use less pre-packaged food at home. As part of their prize they received a bamboo toothbrush each to look after their teeth and a pack of plastic free pens to trial in class. Well done 9D if we can all follow in your footsteps then we can make positive changes in our lifestyles to help the future of our planet.
Maple class have been super busy with lots of Christmas activities, we would love to show you all the wonderful activities and photos of your children.
We got lots of special treats, such as presents for our loved ones. Santa hats and giant candy canes.
We got to make and drink some very yummy hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows,
Look at these sticky faces off our candy floss,
We have played so many different games and won lots of different prizes.
We all had a try of a Christmas dinner and pulled some crackers.
The festive spirit has spread right through Maple Class,
A Merry Christmas from your wonderful Children,
And a HUGE merry Christmas from all the staff in Maple!
9H have been working super hard in decorating our classroom with hand made decorations.
Our pupils have also enjoyed bingo, a whole school quiz, popcorn, candy floss, a visit to Croft’s Winter Wonderland and went onto WIN the BEST DECORATED CLASSROOM!
9H have had a fantastic last week and have all been amazing!
Merry Christmas Everyone
11V have had a great few days celebrating Christmas and taking part in different activities! From eating candy floss and popcorn, drinking hot chocolates and decorating the classroom, it has been a festive filled week. And thank you to the BSU for The Big Fat Croft Quiz of the Year and for the hot chocolate gift sets 11V received after winning the quiz – as you can see, 11V loved them!
Storm Arwen managed to lift and tip our recycling bin over, fortunately when no one was on site! It is back in situe now so if you have a spring clean in January please consider bringing in any clothes, shoes, bags or belts, as the last collection from our bin raised £32.40 for our school funds. Thankyou to everyone who contributed.
Everyone in 9R has been having lots of festive fun throughout the week. Taking part in decorating biscuits, designing a bauble for the tree, festive bingo, Christmas jumper day, a live link to Jack and the Beanstalk pantomine. Each day a super star pupil is chosen to select the solar system advent and read the science fact of the day and then they become the class good elf for the day. The pupils took part in the Christmas market organized by the PTA where they got to choose a present, wrap it and take it home for a special person in their life that help them.

A huge thank from all of us to the PTA who organised a fantastic Christmas event yesterday. Pupils had a great time whether it be creating their Santa hats, drinking hot chocolate, wrapping presents or receiving their enormous candy canes. A great day was had by all.
As well as organising a great day the PTA raised £1193 through the raffle and the silent bid so a huge thank you for that as well.
Thanks to all the pupils who we were very proud of, displaying fantastic behaviour and manners throughout the day.
