SATS
Evening Everyone
I just wanted to say a huge well done to all of the children who have completed their SATS this week. They have coped really well with a lot of changes and some very difficult papers. Well Done!
After SATs Parttttyyyyy!!!!
Finally the SATs are FINISHED, All of the primary children from P4 and P5 enjoyed an afternoon garden party to celebrate their achievements this week. They have all worked so hard and with such a positive attitude to learning!. The sun was shining, the food was great and our Head of School, Mr Davis joined in (Maybe for the free hotdog…). Mr Davis wanted to personally thank all of the children for their hard work during the week. 
A Special Guest
We were delighted to welcome Mrs Buddin and her baby Harry into class this afternoon. The children were wonderful around Harry, very gentle and caring in their approach. They couldn’t believe how cute he was. We cant wait to see Harry again and find out how much he has changed.
Busy being independent
The children in P2 are loving our “Busy Bags”. These are independent learning task packs that children can access once they finished their main activity. They are designed to help them practise key skills and become more resilient as learners. 
P3 talk about what it means to be a good friend
P3 spent the morning talking about what makes them a good friend.
We drew around our friends and thought about lots of different ways we can be a good friend, writing our ideas down and sharing them as a group.
“sharing” “kind hands and feet” “listening” “personal space”
“no teasing”, “including others”, “respect” “listening to others opinions”
After this we spoke about what bullying is.
“Bullying means being unkind to people.”
“Calling someone names, hitting them.”
We discussed and answered the following questions, listening to each others ideas and taking it in turns.
- Verbal ways to bully,
- Emotional ways to bully,
- Physical ways to bully,
- What might someone being bullied think?
- How might someone being bullied feel?
- How might someone being bullied act?
- What should we do if we see someone being bullied?
P3 are working hard to be good friends.
P7 Science
P7 have been learning about reproduction. They made plasticine models of the female reproductive system, the sperm cell and egg cell. They used them to explain the journey of the sperm and egg and how the egg is fertilised. One student even stood at the front and used the scientific terms to explain reproduction. Excellent scientists, well done p7!
Drumming performance
P9 student Finley performed 3 tracks in secondary assembly on Friday, and blew everyone away with his amazing skills. He received huge rounds of applause and also received his Grade 1 drumming certificate.
Ronnie Robot Kidnapped!
P3 returned to class on Friday to a note saying Ronnie Robot had been kidnapped!
They received a phone call saying that for Ronnie to be returned they needed to pay £200.
A note was written for the kidnapper and P3 left £200 from the toy shop money.
However, the kidnapper did not fall for P3’s plan and refused to accept the toy shop money.
P3 then decided in DT they would become superheroes to be able to save Ronnie Robot. They designed a costume and explained what makes their costumes special.
On Monday P3 came into class to a note left by the Toy Maker.
They were set the challenge to create missing robot posters to help find Ronnie Robot. P3 then worked hard to create missing posters, ensuring they had a picture of Ronnie on, a description and a reward for finding Ronnie.
P3 hope Ronnie is returned soon.
